Verification and control of threads and air flow.

This semi-machine is designed to form part of a robotic machining cell. The robot unloads the part from the machining centre and places it at the first station where the ducts of the part are cleaned with blowers. Then a handling device transfers the part to the control station. At this station, the presence of the thread is checked at 7 points using laser sensors. Also, the four ducts of the part are checked for any obstructions by measuring the air flow. If the part is found OK, the handling device unloads the part into the washing machine; if it is not OK, it is unloaded onto a ramp. The PLC is prepared to carry out automatic pattern cycles with both OK and NOK parts, as well as special verification cycles with flow switches.
